
B. Larivière
Bart Larivière is Assistant Professor of Service Management at Ghent University, where he is founder and Executive Director of the Center for Service Intelligence
He is passionate about service research, and his work focuses on customer loyalty, word-of-mouth, experience management, servitization, servicescape, consumer well-being, and multichannel customer management. He intensively collaborates with different Belgian companies bridging the gap between practice and academia. His research has been published in Journal of Service Research, Journal of Service Management, Managing Service Quality, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Business Research, the European Journal of Operational Research, and Expert Systems with Applications. His lead and single-author article on a Service-Profit Chain application was finalist for best paper in Journal of Service Research, and his research won the Best Doctoral Service Paper Award at the Positive Marketing Conference, won the Outstanding Paper Award in Managing Service Quality, won the Highly Commended Paper Award from Journal of Service Management and won three times the Best Practitioner Presentation Award at the Frontiers in Service Conference, rewarding the best academic research applied to real-world situations and problems. Finally, based on a survey between all PhD students and post-docs of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Ghent University, he was awarded the PhD Tutor Award.
